they should make realistic graphics and perfect ai and then let bioware make games using them

i think they'd be able to put them to the best use

Tali sex sim was where he was going with this, for all those wondering.

I'm pretty sure virtual reality (VR), as in you put on a hat with wires and you're inside the game/realm/world etc., will be the downfall of humanity.

People already shat their pants when they saw Avatar. They were depressed because they knew it was a fictional world. If those people got hold of VR they will never want to leave. Combine that VR with the comfy chair from Wall-E. (Where fat humans live on) and you can probably imagine how humans would go about..

Another great movie was made with Bruce Willis (Surrogates) about something similiar as VR. Instead of going inside a world, you were hooked up to a robot that looks whatever you want it to look. Thus one could be someone else completely. Which also leads to abandoning the 'real world' for a lack of better term.

Surrogates is indeed an awesome movie and also makes you think about future developments. Although not a good movie, I can also recommend "Gamer" as it fits into the same category, it's interesting, to say the least.

@Cat, I definitely remember Gradius, was a game on one of the Joysticks you plug in, and it has a lot of the oldie games, like the infinite bomberman, and Contra.

To say the least, Gradius is ridicilously hard for a starter.

@Lennard, that's actually very interesting nice one.

Gamer, surrogates, inception, avatar, matrix etc are all very interesting movies because they all touch on the idea of a future of fantasy worlds where you can do as you wish with no repercussions.

Sounds great, yeah, but it would be the complete deterioration of morality.  i.e. fat guy from gamer, who I literally wish to murder despite being a fictional character.  See?  I'm doing it already.

I am sure there will be a law on that too, it's a very huge humanity step so there will be barriers.

I was more thinking of some sort of Tali girlfriend simulator, to be honest. It could be like Loveplus, y'know? Konami managed to get a dude to marry one of the characters from their game, Bioware should try something along the same lines if you ask me.

You're pretty good at picking up subtext though bro.

Bioware did not make bioshock.
Yea, 2K Games did, the group is also known as Irrational Games.

NeoSuperior

Yes Bioware was the secret organization that secretly made the secret games ME, DA and KOTOR 1+2 (real names unknown) but it seems their secret games where secretly leaked... oh i just told a secret to the whole unsecret forum. (will mods make this post a "secret" too?)

The day we can no longer interface with a video games via means of controller/mouse/keyboard will be the day that the world ceases to create productive and creative content.  Everything made and perceived will be an endless novelty that requires little more then static neuron activity.

I hope one day, we will be able to rent a cheap room that can hold about 500 people, have the gaming platform analyze the room, and recreate what's on the whole game map and project it holographically onto the floor of your room, meaning you will be inside the map, and the collision will be accurate to the point of molecule, so if you shoot his pinky off, you can't shoot anymore :P And you use acrobatics and your own body.

That's where Call of Duty will go sky high, and fatties will be eliminated, as well as kids, cause they can't run to save their lifes.

(Note, Battlefield will only be for rich kids, cause fuck you will need a whole arena)

DreadStunLock

Yeap, except with better sound, graphical explosions, and a lot better environment :)
