Are you saying the cam can only be used to disable a mine, camera, etc. OR be used as a laser to affect the merc's HUD?  I can't see how it would do both at the same time.  The cam should have both functions, but only one or the other should be activated.  Also, there should be a limit to the distance of a laser, much like a poison/ laser mine (maybe longer distance but have a limit)

The idea is that it has both of the abilities you stated, and a limit sounds like it would need to be tested to see how it affected it's use. A max distance would make sense though as to not have the gadget being abused.

The bigger "AND/OR" thing comes with the Variations. If it had the Radius ability also (which sets up a.. sphere of OCP that has a smaller radius than chaff, but will knock out electronics in that area), would it be too much? Also would the Door hacking thing be too much in addition to everything above (costs you a Cam, but you can keep a door you hacked open for the life of the cam (by using the OCP laser on it's panel while the door is open))?

Then the debate-able parts. Such as, should the camera be pick up-able if within reach of the spy (not sure if sticky cams do this), and should multiple OCP Cams be able to be used at the same time?

::EDIT::

At which point did this idea sound ridiculous??

As I side note, I'm going to punch the next person I see using 'and/or' when 'or' should be used, and 'or' when 'xor' should be used.

My fists are primed, and my body ready.

I think I got it down right. Cause it was Laser and/or Radius thing.

...Maybe the door hack was an and only.... and all the other stuff...

SHHHHHHHHH ;)

The logical 'or' operator is true whenever either parameter is true. The logical 'or' operator is also true when both parameters are true.

The 'xor' operator, on the other hand, is true only when one of the operators is true, and only one.
