QuoteIt's not even strictly auto aim, it just does what any console game would; if you aim close to a guards head, the aim will align automatically for you. But it doesn't just aim straight to the head, and if the guard were to move for example the aim doesn't stay on his head, it's not a lock on. Seemingly FarleyFan, you feel the need to hate this game for very minor reasons.

Oh bull fucking shit Stone.  Name another game where there is auto aim STRICLY TOWARDS THE HEAD.  If you can name one, check to see if it's optional.  If it is, then you lose.  If it isn't, then the game is probably easy as shit.

I've stated all my reasons for this game being dissapointing in several threads, and you pass them off as "minor reasons".  A little ignorant on your part.

QuoteThe facts about the game. Also, you don't know what publishers such as Ubisoft want; for a start, sales numbers only equates to the revenue that Ubisoft makes, that does not take into account the costs of running the business. Secondly, of course profit is the priority, this is the same for business selling a product/service, but Ubisoft still make quality games to this day, despite the target audience being casual gamers.

And why should I have to explain my opinion when you are doing it perfectly fine all by yourself.  They are making quality games - for CASUAL GAMERS.

In lay mans' terms, that means they are freaking easy.  My point, you proved.  Bravo.

A 7 yr old boy could beat conviction on realistic mode...the game is no challenge and is a disgrace...casual gaming is destroying video games

Dude, you either have never touched the game or you are just clueless. I find normal difficulty already quite a challenge and when I screw up I will be dead in a matter of seconds if I keep running about.

You say that he's clueless, and then say that you are clueless right after.

A seven year old could beat any game just as easily as somebody who is older than themselves; age doesn't equate to gaming skill.

It equates to brain power. And reflexes. And experience.

Not really... ;)

Yes really... ;)

On realistic, your aiming reticle snaps to the enemy's head if you are aiming at their body when you push the zoom button.  That should be for rookies, but it's on realistic.

This actually really pissed me off after I found out about it. I wish there was some way to turn it off >_>.

I find it depressing that you're using age as an argument.

I see where you are coming from Farley... Auto-headshots? Splinter-cell has fallen a far way..

Things could be worse though.. this current incarnation could just be Assassins Creed with a Sam as a scruffy looking, bearded hobo who does kung fu - The original plan by Ubi!

It's just the inability to turn this assist off and the fact that it goes right for HEADSHOTS that makes this "feature" lame.

Even on the "hardest" difficulty, you are forced to use an assist that the game developers think that you need.  Isn't that just a slap in the face to players?  Some players just take it.

SC:C was a fun campaign experience the same can not be said for the online, i use to play SC:CT everyday and when DA came out i was'nt as dissapointed as most, i don't know why but i liked DA multi player not as much as CT but it was satisfying. I think they implimeted alot of new unnecessary features into Conviction making it to easy like auto-headshots(did't really use my gun much anyways  ;D) and Mark and execute, but one feature i thought really helped the game play was Last known position it really helped u plan ways to take out enemies in a certain area. Conviction was a good Stealth Action game but was't SPLINTER CELL. Although it was a short entertaining game it didn't live up to any of it's previous games. Not making a SvM killed the game along with a short campaign but hunter mode and versus mode are actually pretty fun to play with a friend. Turn off secondary weapons and don't use pistols and just snap each others necks is pretty fun i hope guys consider in PROJECT STEALTH a spy v spy type mode but i would rather play SvM anyways it just seems like a fun feature. I am looking forward to PROJECT STEALTH way more than conviction. Keep up the good work guys.

Ooh, someone's angry, isn't he?

Anyway, even looking past the auto headshots(which actually don't help that much, in retrospect), I found the campaign pretty enjoyable, although the co-op campaign was a bit lackluster and easy, even on realistic.

This was the most dumbest post ever.

@Ninja, how do you know "in retrospect" how much the auto-headshots helped?  The assist is only something you can judge while playing, and even then you might just think you are that good that you can pull off headshots so easy.  I wonder how much of the game was played for me, by the game.

And what is this that I've heard about no voice chat on coop for the PC version?  What the fucking fuck?  lmao

Farley, while that above post was dumb you're constant disappointment for Convictions is also a little past it's welcome (This actually is meant for everyone doing it, but it's easier to target one person :)). Fanboy-ism aside you keep acting like a damn child when it comes to this game. Going on and on about minor features that while add a new flare to the game, also apparently demeans it.

It's like your father went to the store and bought you Store-Brand Cereal instead of Big Name Brand. You keep going on about HOW and WHY they are different. In the end though you're going to have to eat the whole bag and hope that the NEXT time he goes and buys cereal he'll get you the one you actually wanted.

What that equates to in video game terms is... Stop bitching because the game is different. You only go on about small things anyway. Ubisoft took THEIR series in a new direction. They can do whatever they want with it regardless of "Fan Appeal" because it's THEIR creation. Much in the same sense that the Devs here can add whatever they want to Project Stealth. Nautical Compass? It's in. Do you need to like it? No, cause you'll play with it there anyway and it doesn't look bad.

...That's all I really got right now. Just felt I hadn't left a comment in a while ;D
If you haven't noticed, I'm REALLY good at making a simple response into a wall of text.
