Hi, me and friend were having a little argument about EMF ghosting, and once I called it a bug, he said it was not a bug, but then I asked him what it was? And I forgot what he answered, but anyway what is it? Why is there EMF ghosting what went wrong?

frvge

It's IMO an oversight. I personally qualify it as a bug or an unwanted feature.

No, EMF scanning rocks  :P

I think it's nice, but it would be better if the ghost was less visible :)

It will be better, if it will doesn't matter from res 1600x1200 = unbeliveable smooth and clean emf.

AKA Chams XD

Spekkio

It's not a bug or a feature...it just is a product of Ubisoft not realizing what high-end computer graphics can do to a game focused on finding people.

Thermal is the most imba vision anyway.

DreadStunLock

By the way guys and devs, I don't know if anyone knows this, BUT if you use MOTION TRACKING Vision on museum levels and standing outside cafe and looking through windows (Which were not destroyed) the MOTION TRACK can track through the window and through the ceilling of whoever is not sneaking. Basically it's like a small Motion Track ghost, now I wonder if UDK has the same type of a bug?

frvge

Why would UDK have any notion of 'motion tracking'? Aka: no, unless we mess up.

Well I have checked all of the maps, and it seems that everyone uses same type of window texture, so I just assumed, you don't need to be that harsh I was just saying :"(

LennardF1989

Why WOULDN'T it work through a window? If you think about it, the vision doesn't care WHERE something moves, as long AS it moves. When it detects any movement (be it behind a window or slightly translucent wall) it should draw a box around it.

DreadStunLock

No no no no, I didn't mean that at all you missed the point, If you look through the window and into the ceilling, you can see the spy being tracked if he is not sneaking, now if you would do that without a window it would not work. Motion would not pick it up through the ceilling, that why now I do not shoot the windows and hoping that the spies would not either...
