gimp im lettin people know about this mod but it aint looking good , you got a bunch of "ego" ridden fools including yourself and the whole team knows who i mean , amongst that the content is being made without much thought into who the fans will be ... turning away from a whole genre of people just to spite me aint your best move .

That post contained more "ego" [sic] than any other I've seen on these forums.  This project was started to give CT fans the game that ubi should have delievered, or a natural successor to it.  We/they know exactly who the target fans are: us.  And wow (!), cooincidence (?), the content is being created with us in mind.

That's really tremendously fantastic that you'd tell everyone you know about this mod, but we aren't trying to curtail to everyone's desires.  If a game is created that is up to the expectations of those who've stuck with CT through all these broken years, then it'll be deemed a success, not depending upon you and how many of your friends enjoy it.

yo i think the mercs should look sumthin like one of the customizable characters in rainbow six vegas...like with heavy body armor a tactical helmet and a balaclava with some R6V Night vision goggles but alter it so its with MT and wuteva the hell else

I really love this look.  Good size helmet, not too big or small, and a amped up CT mercenary model look.   ;D Although the merc shouldn't be so dark that he can hide as well as the spies can.  Just add a few lights on him that spies can see or make him not so dark.  Other than that, AWESOME!

lolz if you didnt know, mercs wear the apropriate armor for the apropriate environment, but it would take lots of skinning to do so the merc blend in.
There are lots of shadows though, so the mercs can blend there ;]

spies got enough eq to detect the mercs in shadows (nightvision, thermal vision, heartbeat sensor, spy bullet), and can also see the mercs flashlight and laser. the heartbeat radius could be a little bit higher though...
for me a bright colored indicator (also on the back) for the merc's vision mode is very important.

I don't agree with the vision mode on the back.  It lets the spy know too much about the merc he is stalking at the moment.

I agree with Skull. Spies don't need to have any other way of knowing if a Merc is using any visions (beside looking at the merc's mask).

In fact, the merc can't tell if the spy uses vision without EMF, so i say the Merc gets the same kind of googles the spies get - you cant see if he is on vision or not.

If I see a spy, I'll be thinking about killing him, not if he's using some kind of vision.

Why do I need another way of seeing if he's using them if I already have EMF? It won't change a single thing if I know the spy is using thermal instead of night vision.

I wouldn't mind if you left only thermal for the spy, though.
