I'm really curious where some of you are getting your information from. You all seem to have drank the conspiracy website kool-aid just a bit too much.

It's interesting how people can easily dehuminize Soldiers. Whether you want to believe it or not, the Soldiers and Marines fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan are real people who grew up with normal societal values. They aren't crazed murderers looking to rape women and children and burn down houses, just like your Polish conscripts in WWII weren't crazed murderers who wanted nothing more than to perform scientific experiments on Jews.

Unfortunately, civilian casualties are a part of war, and will continue to be until you can invent magic homing bullets that only seek people with guns pointed at you. It doesn't help that women and children are responsible for ambushing and killing many of our troops. But our country even went so far as to ban airstrikes about a year and a half ago in Iraq to cut down on civilian casualties, even though it made US casualties rise by over 80%. So, again, I'm not sure where you're getting your information from, other than anti-American tabloids and conspiracy websites who take the stories of the few bad apples and extrapolate it to the entire organization.
