So apparently I'm meant to be going to Alpha Pavonis to find some wrecked spaceship or something.

WHICH OF THESE STARS IS ALPHA PAVONIS

aliens fucking suck man let me tell you

(inb4 dread says this game sucks because it had bad graphics)

DreadStunLock

If I was a person who loved graphics so much, I would have never lay my eyes on games like Duke Nukem 1991 or Deus Ex 1, which to me, are phenomenal games, + the game you have got on your screenshot will never be criticized by me because I consider them classics.

However Duke Nukem Forever sucks, and if it won't have very high quality 2011 DX graphics, to compensate for the crappy typical gameplay, then it can kiss my a**.

Spark Mandriller

at first i was like hey dread accepts that games that look bad can still be good, maybe he's not a complete clown afterall.

then you suggested that having good graphics could make up for shit gameplay.

still the same old dread.

Cronky

I like this thread ...just... all of it.

Continue.
If you haven't noticed, I'm REALLY good at making a simple response into a wall of text.

I don't really have anything to continue with. I'm meant to be looking for some monster that "basks in yellow light within the eight star constellation of Linch-Nas-Ploh.", but I think that at least was meant to be cryptic, so that's excusable.

Come to think of it, there's a group of like eight stars northeast from Arilou territory, and one of them's yellow, so maybe I'll check there.

WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED BROS

update: nothin'

Well there has to be something to compensate it? COD uses the same thing, and yet it sold millions worldwide.

That's just because people are stupid and easily brainwashed.

Who cares? The industry made money and they have enough of people to expand and do the same thing, noone is harmed.

The game companies hardly care which of their games they play, as long as they do play and Infinity Ward achieved that.

I know. They obviously don't care, as long as they make money. But I was just explaining to you why it sold millions.

Everyone's opinion is different.

It probably has something to do with the fact that the gameplay isn't actually bad. It's just unintuitive. People play and thus pay for the COD games because they want more of it. They want: a new story, some new guns, a new mechanic or two, etc. The Multiplayer is supposedly pretty solid also, though I haven't actually played it enough to judge that myself. Worth the 60 bucks every year or so? Not exactly in my eyes, but neither is risking my 60 dollars on another game that might give a worse experience.

All the while, the graphics in Modern Warfare 1 were impressive, but they haven't changed much since. So graphics making up for gameplay is still not justified. It's nice, but I'll use current sonic games as my example of graphics not making up for anything if the gameplay is inherently bad.

Maybe people buy CoD for the gameplay instead of buying games they don't fucking like because they think they have nice graphics like fucking morons?

Also learn how to use question marks, fuck.

DreadStunLock

 ;D You mad bro?

I think Cronky just stated that COD didn't improve on the graphics that much for it to be really impressive, as well as who in this thread buys games just for it's graphics?

Duke Nukem graphics suck to me because they aren't living up to the standards of 2011 as a Sci-fi FPS, and it's true, look at BFBC2, it's not futuristic but the graphics in there are awesome.

Spark Mandriller

I'm not mad. Just think it's kinda sad that you're too dumb to realise that you're only meant to use question marks at the end of questions.

And I mean you're the one saying that high quality graphics can compensate for crappy gameplay, so...

DreadStunLock

To me it does, and it's my personal preference.

CBS, boohoo I didn't start a new sentence did that eat you up inside or something?
