Succubus Dryad Of The Undying Comet

Like what? Snares?
And btw - ima vision whore - keep changing visions every 5 seconds or so, so if you don't time your moves right youre as good as dead. And the second thing, i try to snipe as much as possible, but you have to remember that when i snipe i still hear what happens around me (make a noise and youre down).
I know that this crap i wrote is like i am making a super-man of myself, but that's goddamn annoying when a spy just runs behind you to get tha grab.

No, the bait is a spy, a dead teammate of his, or an objective about to be taken. These are all put together in the scenario I just wrote, and almost every merc will leave greek if that scenario happens.

Well, it would work on us if we weren't camping Pir and Greek :P
I mean that even if you manage to take tech, wich is the one we can leave to be taken, you'll still have to deal with two camping mercs. I think it is quite frustrating to fight mercs that camp.

Farley4Fan

Yes I know, but in Aquarius most people start running around and leave their post because of a spy, another objective, or a teammate dying.  The reason is because it isn't totally easy to go from one objective to another.  Say you are going upstairs in pirates because you saw a spy go up.  Say your teammate is in tech room.  If a spy starts hacking greek, then the spy will most likely get it.  Doors open slow in Aqua, and it is a slow walk from objective to objective. Although they are pretty close together, the ways to get to them are slow and are long distances.

While i guard Greek (usually), i can kill a spy that hacks pirates when im standing up the stairs of greek. I just bounce a nade of the railing just above of the objective. From the same place i can also nade the greek hack, but it's quite easy to get cammed there.

Farley4Fan

I know what you mean.  But as soon as you see hacking in progress your first gut reaction is to go get the bastard who is hacking.

Not really - i just want him to stop hacking, while time is running low. Making the spy stop hacking is my goal. I don't need to kill him to win. But when a real (not dangerous for me) opportunity arises, i hunt.

This is getting worse than Ubisoft forum!!!

Let us see you cool vid.

Btw... what is the difference between vets and decent players???

frvge

I can compete with decent players, and generally can stand my ground versus vets. But some vet-teams  just wtfpwn me.

Treat your customers with respect you make more customers. Treat your customers like pirates, you make more pirates.

Because you'r a shotty noob :P

Actually that question was meant as a joke.

Farley4Fan

I meant decent by - Know how to play the game, know basics, are okay.

By vets I meant - Know exactly what to do, are smart at guarding and hunting, are the people you don't wanna face 1 on 1.  Usually the people that have played since PT like me and most of the people here.

goodkebab

heh, i am the shotty noob on this forum.

Huh? What map are you playing man?

Aqua is probably the easiest map to get around in besides like warehouse sector 1.

You realize you can blow the vent leading to greek and fire a frag to disrupt hacking from the tech room, right?

Farley4Fan

From the bottom of pirates to greek it would take about 9 seconds to get there or blow the vent and frag it.  By then, the hacking would probably be over and it would be taken.  If you are out of your post, then the objective will usually be taken.  You just have to bait the mercs out of their post.  Whether it be snares, noisy spies, their dead teammate, a hacking spy, a tech room bombing etc.

Yes, firing a frag disrupts the hacking, but it won't stop it.  You would have to keep firing frags in order to keep the spy from keep hacking and stopping and hacking again.  It doesn't stop the spy it only makes him hack over and over until he gets it.

Say you are in tech, and pirates is being hacked.  The spy could easily get a good 8-10 seconds on the objective.

No, because you wouldn't be there. And if you were at the bottom of pirates, then your partner is camping greek, or at the very least, at the bottom of tech. In which case, he can blow the vents and fire the frag while you circle to the top of greek.

Do the mercs just travel together when you play or what? Since it seems like your experience is with mercs with little conception of any real teamwork.

I've played on xbox and xbox players aren't quite that bad. You can outmanuever them on large maps like factory, but they're going to usually just camp on aqua.
