My own, preferred version would be:

Project Stealth's

S.A.M.

Where Project Stealth means the group of people, and S.A.M. is the name of the game (pun not intended).
S.A.M. stands for Stealth Action Multiplayer.

Bionic-Blob

or you could just call it S.A.M.

putting "project stealth's" just gheyifies it

Meh, that way we have both things on it. S.A.M.2 or S.A.M. II could be the name of the sequel with the extended possibilities.

Ironically I also came up with SAM way back in November of 2005

Zedblade

why does it matter, i was under the impression we were going to change the name anyway. What the hell is the point on whether it should be Project Stealth or ProjectStealth.

I'm pretty sure we decided we were changing the name a while ago and that S.A.M: Stealth Action Multiplayer was the favored vote. Wasn't official or anything yet. Either way, that makes this thread pointless.

That's what I thought too. I thought the name would be chosen at a later date. Unless, this is the later date anyway.

Just to be clear, incase crazy people think UbiSoft was that smart:
EDIT: HAHAHAH due to frvge request below here's my entire post.

Thread: SVM ideas for SC4 dated November 7 2005
"There are some things that should stay, and some things that need to be changed from one version to the next. As someone pointed out too much of change can alienate past fans. The example of Tribes: Vengence is an excellent example. I was a vet in that series but was lost in translation.

I like the idea of saving 75% of the current game. As it does work pretty well. As Spekkio and others have pointed out, it's the fine tunning of the game that requires more of a face lift. Actually, the graphics engine also needs a face lift too. So I'd say, if UBI does anything to improve SvM, it should be the graphics and increase what ever they need to do to make it as bug free as possible.

Asuming Ubi can do this, I would hope that SvM look a lot like the Single Player or the Coop graphics. With out all of its problems ofcourse. Once that is done, Ubi could then start thinking of ways to keep veterans like us happy, while making it easier to pick up and play this game.

I had written a big long post about things but then relised most was just re-itterating Spekkio's post. So, I believe he's onto something. I mentioned that stats thing awhile back, even made a photoshop picture of it and posted it somewhere.

All this game needs to do to become successfull, is to lower the learning curve of the game and more advertisements for its unique multiplayer action. Most don't even know what to call it yet and UBI should definetly find a name for it. Multiplatyer Stealth Action or to be cool and ironic, Stealth Action Multiplayer, or SAM for short. The new SAM game for SC4 should have an indepth tutorial for it's online play. Tribes: Vengence had a tutorial for it's online play, though only because it was cattered to the online gamers. These tutorial for the SvM should focus on basic ideas and principles. They should follow Spekkio's noob guide to be honest. For both spy and Merc. That will help lower the learning curve.

To make more people play, im not sure. Making a simpler more dynamic interface would definetly be a positive. Even making a text box that the in-game chat appears in would be much better than having it explode on the screen. there's already enough info on the HUD. Limit it, combine certain things like engergy and life. You don't need two bars, just make one bar with a wide border, the inside of the bar is your life, (red) and the border of the bar is your energy(yellow). There's one less item on the HUD.

The current build of SvM isn't as bad as we make it. It's just that it is decidedly out dated and does need an overhall. Hopefully, Ubi recognises this and will give SvM the attention it needs. Doing so will hopefully creat a masive increase in players for the SAM world."

You can also see the impact of Tribes for me way back in 2005 as well. Atleast I'm consistent.

Naming the game is SAM: Stealth-Action Multiplayer is gay. It's like making a first-person shooter mod and naming it "FPS."

the problem is that the general concept of svm is unknown to the majority of the gamers. it's like promoting a new product, the name should at least convey that it's a stealth based multiplayer mod and somehow connected to pt/ct versus mode.

atm i'd go for something like:
  -= Project Stealth =-
Stealth-Action Multiplayer / Spies Versus Mercenaries  (depending on what the logo/picture is showing)
