The normal one is used in real life, and I'm not totally positive but I believe the purple is also.  I voted for purple because it has nicer shades.

Screw purple.
blue for cold and red for hot makes way more sense. it's also more clever not to use different brightnesses but different colors as the human eye can seperate colors way better. on the other hand the purple color looks more pleasant and a new look wouldn't hurt anyone. what about a compromise between the two schemes?

actually in purple vision, the spy seems to be more easy to spot out. here's a gif i made to compare the difference:

in purple vision, the colors almost burn your retina just to look at them, so you can spot a spy in a split second, faster than in RGB vision...

Snif :(. I knew I screwed up the logo with the size. Aw well, I am not a 2D artist.

don't worry...maybe noone will notice the difference  ;) ;D

EDIT: To solve this dilemma, maybe the production team could make it possible to choose between the two different visions (RGB and Purple/aka "Predator Vision"  ;D)

Dilemma? Look at the poll  ;) Pretty one sided at the moment.

Lol, yeah, but there are still some people that are for the RGB thermal vision while others are for Purple Thermal Vision. So, maybe it should be possible to use the one you like, and not be impelled to use the one that's implemented...

I wouldn't mind giving people the option. It should be pretty easy.

LOL  AREN'T WE RUNNING A GOD DAMN DEMOCRACY!!???  Majority rules.  Jk  I could care less.  They both look good in my opinion.  Having both options would be nice.  Maybe having infinite options?  Like say you could choose the hue and saturation of the thermal AND night vision colors.  Some people prefer having greenish NV, I prefer having whitish.  SO, I would just lower the saturation of the visions and I got my whitish preferance filled.
