The Roboblitz engine is fairly limited.

Roboblitz is a modified editor and engine.  Just like the Vegas 2 one would be if an editor ever comes out.

Different games have different features and properties.(eg, dimensions in RvS v. UT2k4)

Roboblitz is made with Unreal Engine 3.0
Rainbow Six Vegas & Vegas 2 are made with a heavily modified Unreal Engine 2.5 (what is totally different).
And yes, Wikipedia is most of the time WRONG.
And yes, when you launch R6 Vegas you can see Powered by Unreal Technologies, but it doesn't mean UE3 at all. Ubisoft never bought UE3.

Yes, R6V and Vegas 2 are powered by Unreal 3.  Ubi has stated so in the past, but I lack a link at the moment.

I believe SCDA is the Unreal powered Clancy game that runs on 2.5 still.

EDIT: http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=%22rainbow+six+vegas%22+%22unreal+3%22&src=IE-SearchBox

That many sites can't be wrong.

Ubisoft NEVER said that, IGN did and Gamespot did.
But anyway, they are really proud to see their Games being compared to the well popular UE3 Games. You can also determine this by looking at the shaders and the textures of both R6 Vegas games.

I'm telling you this because I talked with the Splinter Cell Conviction Producer at Ubisoft Montreal Studio. I told you, they never bought UE3, the only liscense they have is UE 2.5 and seriously why Ubi would by Unreal Engine 3 when they spent more than $XX 000 000 on their Assassin'S Creed Engine!!?

It doesn't make any sense.

Yes they are  ;D.
Dude, my teachers and two of my friends are working at Ubisoft  :-\. I assure you that ubi never bought UE3 and do not need it at all. Go take a look at Far Cry 2 lol...

Ok.  I believe you now.  I just searched on WLS and Google, and I couldn't find a single press release saying Ubi bought UE3 liceneses.

I know, the first time he told me this I was "Are you serious!? loll You are all working with UE 2.5 since so much time LOLLL ?".

He answered that they were buying the old UE 2.5 license, what cost absolutely nothing for them and is now heavily modified. They are always using it and it's always more and more modified. Splinter Conviction is made the same way, I saw it myself, but I can't go deeper in the details.

Ubisoft put a lot of money in their Assassin's Creed engine and trust me, they will use this engine again for many other games. It's a logical choice, because Ubi has to gain back his $$$ from the Assassin's Creed development what cost... a lot, but they really wanted to innovate.

Ubi seems to enjoy the Unreal Technologies for the R6 franchise.

This isn't a Forum for Ubi lovers and the PS Forum is in no point a Ubi haters Forum dude, calm down. I talked about a common problem related to the actual consumers nowadays.

The point is, you think that all the Game Web Sites are telling the truth, but it isn't the case. END OF THE LINE.

And you know what? Even if my friends are at Ubi, it doesn't mean I like Ubi. Seriously, it's not the first place I wanna work for, but it's far from be the first one, but! they have great features to offer.

So I strongly prefer for the moment to work on mods or to start my own project in parallel. 8)

NOTE:
Oh and if Ubisoft never existed, you would probably never see a PS game. This is somehting you should at least admit and it's from our deception facing DA that we all want a Porject like PS. Thx Ubi to be that bad. Talking about DA, we had a conference and a lot of discussion with the Co-Producer of Assassin's Creed and a Game Designer who worked on SC:DA and I know why this game was a failure... lol the reason sucks= but choice in the game design resulting in a bad atmosphere during all the production time line, people working for "Yeah yeah yeah we are working on a new Splinter Cell, but you know... it could be worst...". This is definately not a magic formula. So when I come here and look at the Community we have, the Dev Team we have and all the potential PS have... I can say: "Dude! What an amazing Project PS is becoming!".

I just hope that you do not trust at 110% every Web Sites like IGN and Gamespot. Yes their are giving a lot of informations about the released games, but they aren't the Developers. (sorry my english isn't perfect yet)
