Doesn't the "host grab" exist just because he is the only player with no lag, therefore what he sees is, or can be different to what others may see, resulting in "host grabs".

EG: You are merc, running and you get a ping on your crosshair from noise behind you, you turn around, face him, and get front-grabbed, yet half the time on the hosts screen, you hadn't even turned around yet as his connection hadn't registered it?

It's a lag issue, from my understanding... but then again i am from Australia so, i see shitloads of lag related issues.  ???

I've 90 degree grabbed guys as a 300 ping client too, though... so hey.  :-\

I think new, fresh maps are in order.
Then over time, if there's enough interested people, remake some of the better PT/CT maps.

Also, Red Diamond on DA was pretty cool... about the only map i actually enjoyed.

I've come to accept everything in CT as part of the game (even though some things are a bit frustrating at times). You learn to work around little annoyances.

In your case, side grabs, quick cams, and triple nades.
I very rarely encounter triple nades, i don't get cammed too often... my bigger annoyances are grabs that are dead on that hit, shock charges, and auto-aim jumping/charging.

Sounds like you wan't a DA clone, rather than a CT clone.

What you're also forgetting is changing something small COULD have a big impact on balance...

Either way: Red Tubes + Red Tri-light Eye thing > Green.

Either way, i think red would make for a more intimidating looking spy.
Also if you didn't realize, my comment about Splinter Cell was fairly sarcastic...

I was just thinking... i remember a spy concept drawing from kebab (i think) which was really cool.
But a suggestion - to take the comparison away from Splinter Cell a little, and make it a little more... "Predator-like", i think it would look cooler if the green was replaced with a red.  :)

So the spies are all HEY IM PREDATOR-LIKE and COOL and NOT RIPPING OFF SPLINTER CELL EVEN THOUGH I AM... :P

The back-and-to-the-left grabbing is there cuz the gun is on the right side, making them harder to grab?
Quick cams are good.
Why shouldn't people be allowed to triple nade? That's just silly, imo.

And sif be able to grab a merc that's in mid-air.  ??? :-\

Just curious, what kinda specs are you guys looking to have your game run on? (minimum and recommended)

Keeping in mind, how long this may take to develop, as well as upcoming hardware.  :)

I have a problem with announcer voices, too.

Annoying when you hear it over and over and over...
Also, yeah, room names > colors, numbers, codenames, etc.
